Kali, Escrima, and Arnis are all recognized names for the martial arts system of the Phillipines. Also known
as FMA, it is famous for its use of realistic knife and stick fighting.
Kali is devastating without the use of an edged weapon through the utilization of elbows, forearms,
and hammerfists.
By using little range of motion and its ability to flow with motion in it's application, several strikes
can be delivered in a short period of time allowing the striking of limbs to redirect body position and set up for further
strikes.
Pekiti-Tirsia was officially founded in 1897 by Conrado Tortal. Pekiti-Tirsia was previously taught only

Tortal Gaje Jr., the grandson of Conrado Tortal and heir to the Pekiti- Tirsia system.
Grand Tuhon Leo Tortal Gaje, Jr.'s students include: the late Edgar Sulite of Lameco Eskrima, Chris Sayoc
of Sayoc Kali and Ricky Rillera.
Jay Vera received his Guro status in Kali from Ricky Rillera in 1982.
