FIFTH GENERATION BLACK BELTS UNDER MASTER ROBERT ROBINSON
Master Robert Robinson
Born in Northeast Louisiana, to parents Johnnie and Oneda Robinson, Sigung Robinson has one brother Johnnie
Robinson Jr. He began his Martial Arts training in Tae Kwon Do. During training in Tae Kwon Do he attended an Aikido seminar
that changed his outlook on the Martial Arts from that time on. After the seminar a search ensued to find a competent and
skilled instructor to learn not only how to perform the new way of motion that he had witnessed in the Aikido style but to
also learn it in a way that he could one day teach it to others. That search would eventually lead him to the door of Professor
Julian Jay Vera.
Professor Vera not only talked a no nonsense philosophy of practical techniques and strategies he
could also execute them with extreme efficiency and speed that Sigung Robinson had never seen before.
After obtaining
his black belt in Aiki-Jujitsu from Professor Vera, he then received his black belt in Kajukenbo. Master Robinson knew if
he ever hoped to have as detailed an understanding as Professor Vera had, he could not stop learning. He received later a
Guro status for Kali. Robert states "I was extremely fortunate to find Professor Vera as a Teacher and Mentor. His knowledgeable
background in the Martial Arts and extreme ability to blend motions and styles together to follow the flow of an attack is
nothing less than amazing. Thanks to Jay I didn't have to reinvent the wheel, just study it".
Sigung Robinson's philosophy
of fighting is progressive in that he believes that a person may attempt to position himself in a way that may not bring undue
harmful aggression to another. However the aggression of that person sets the tone of the encounter. As Bruce Lee said, "Let
your opponent graze your skin and you smash into his flesh; let him smash into your flesh and you fracture his bones; let
him fracture your bones and you take his life. Do not be concerned with escaping safely, lay your life before him."

Robinson currently resides in West Monroe Louisiana with his wife Rene' Robinson and their three children Amber, Kristen,
and Lauren. Sigung Robert and wife, Sifu Rene' Robinson own and operate Absolute Martial Arts LLC. Robert and Rene' created
